Solo shows that INCLUDE STORYTELLING, MULTI-MEDIA, SKETCH COMEDY, MUSIC will receive ONE 2 hours total tech rehearsals slot (that means is if performers need a bunch of tech cues, the 2 hours will probably be used up with that – if only need a few cues, performers can use most of the time for a rehearsal).
Performers CAN schedule a walk—through beforehand, so that they can see the space in which they’ll be working. That gives performers a really good idea of what is needed and how to proceed so that when performers arrive for their rehearsal, they’ll be ready to go with a plan.
**We need a clean COMPLETE script for each performer (a list of warning cues will not be sufficient). If performers have sound cues, we need them on a jump drive or a CD, or on QLAB. If there are projections, we need them to be jpgs on QLAB or on a jump drive. We need all of the materials (script, sound, projections) at least ONE WEEK before their rehearsal.
If performers come to rehearsal and are not prepared, or we have not received the materials that we need, we will NOT be able to reschedule their rehearsal and they will have to do their show with just lights up and lights down and no sound or projections.
All three spaces have QLAB lighting, a great sound system, and a projector.

As for rehearsals, weekdays are best, weeknights have classes and are not readily available, and weekends have shows and is rarely available.

Promo Photo & Video Shoot
**Selected performers are required to participate in the promo photo and video shoot on SUNDAY, MARCH 15th 6:30-10PM at THE OTHER STAGE in Santa Monica Playhouse. Please bring costumes, set piece or props if you have any. We will select a few shows for interviews. Email [email protected] to confirm. Agenda below:
